PGDM NextGen Program Revamped with 10 Corporate-Ready Specialisations
Management education is changing fast. Companies want graduates who understand strategy and are fluent in the tools, data and technology that run modern business. The International Institute of Business Study (IIBS) Bengaluru has revamped its two-year PGDM NextGen Flagship Program for the 2027–29 session, adding 10 corporate-ready specialisations built around the platforms employers actually use.
The full-time programme pairs core management education with specialisation-specific technology training, professional certifications, live projects, corporate exposure and international immersion. The goal is graduates who can step into real business responsibilities from day one, not months into onboarding.
Ten Specialisations, Built Around Industry Tools
Each track pairs a management discipline with a platform, certification or corporate learning partner students would otherwise only encounter on the job:
- Finance Management with SAP FICO, covering financial accounting and controlling as used across global organisations
- Marketing Management with SAP Sales and Distribution, linking marketing strategy to real sales and customer-management systems
- Global Finance with an ACCA UK-aligned pathway into international accounting, reporting and taxation
- Operations Management with SAP MM, spanning planning, procurement, inventory and materials
- Human Resource Management with SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle HCM, covering recruitment, performance and workforce technology
- Business Analytics with powered by HCLTech and EY, building analytical and data-interpretation skills
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management with SAP MM, focused on sourcing, coordination and inventory control
- Agribusiness Management with SAP MM, applied to agricultural markets, rural supply chains and procurement.
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with powered by HCLTech and EY, exploring how AI and automation shape business decisions
- Cyber Security with powered by HCLTech and EY, giving future managers a working understanding of information security and data protection.
The Credentials Behind the Curriculum
IIBS Bengaluru holds AICTE approval, NBA accreditation, AIU recognition, NAAC 'A' Grade and UGC Autonomous status. It's also affiliated with AACSB International, AMDISA, the Business Education Alliance, and SAQS a spread of accreditations and memberships that anchor the programme's academic credibility.
Learning by Doing
The curriculum runs on a 70:30 practical-to-theoretical model. Rather than leaning on lectures and exams, students work through live projects, business simulations, case studies, internships, corporate workshops and industrial visits.
Career prep runs alongside academics through the IIBS Finishing School, equipping students with communication training, interview prep, aptitude building and professional grooming, plus access to over 100 certification options from partners including Harvard Business School, IIM Bangalore and SAP. A Bloomberg Terminal facility gives finance-track students hands-on exposure to real-time market data and industry-standard analytics.
Mentorship and Corporate Access
Students get direct face time with business leaders through expert sessions, corporate workshops, and leadership interactions meant to close the gap between classroom theory and workplace reality. Mentoring comes from experienced professionals, IIT and IIM alumni, entrepreneurs and industry specialists, sharpening the decision-making, communication and problem-solving skills employers look for beyond the degree itself.
A Global Classroom
The programme includes a 15-day international study tour, giving students firsthand exposure to global business practices. The institute maintains academic partnerships across the UK, Malaysia, the US, Italy, the UAE, Singapore and the Philippines, backed by international guest sessions and cross-border learning opportunities.
Placements and ROI
The programme advertises assured placement opportunities in the INR 12–25 LPA range, contingent on students meeting academic, attendance, and placement-readiness benchmarks. Backing that up is a placement team of 10+ managers, ties to over 3,000 companies, and an alumni network exceeding 9,000 professionals across consulting, finance, banking, technology, analytics, logistics and FMCG.
Tuition runs INR 14.45 lakh, a figure positioned against that INR 12–25 LPA placement band to make its ROI case. Merit scholarships of up to INR 2 lakh are available based on academic record and entrance-exam percentiles, offering some room to bring that investment down.
With its 10 specialised pathways spanning finance, marketing, HR, analytics, operations, supply chain, agribusiness, AI and cyber security, the revamped PGDM NextGen program is IIBS Bengaluru's bet that the next generation of managers needs more than a degree, with tools, exposure and corporate fluency built in from the start.
