The International Institute of Business Studies, IIBS Bengaluru, has opened IIBSAT applications for admission to the PGDM Prime and PGDM NextGen programmes for the 2027–29 batch. IIBSAT, or the IIBS Autonomous Test, is an admission-cum-scholarship entrance examination for management aspirants who want to build practical business knowledge, leadership abilities and industry-relevant skills.
The application process closes on 30 November 2026. Registered candidates will receive the demo examination link on 5 December 2026. IIBSAT will be conducted on 6 December 2026.
One Entrance Test for Two Career-Focused PGDM Programmes
The PGDM Prime programme builds a strong foundation in management through classroom learning, practical assignments, industry interaction and professional training. It develops essential abilities in communication, problem-solving, teamwork, business analysis and decision-making.
The PGDM NextGen programme offers a more intensive and technology-focused management experience. It integrates core business education with new-age specialisations, corporate certifications, advanced business tools and global learning opportunities. The programme suits high-performing students seeking demanding managerial and leadership roles in modern organisations.
Recognised and Accredited Management Education
IIBS Bengaluru is a UGC Autonomous institution accredited with an NAAC ‘A’ Grade. Its PGDM programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. The Association of Indian Universities recognises its PGDM as equivalent to an MBA degree.
The institute is also associated with respected academic and management networks, including AMDISA and AACSB International. These approvals, accreditations and professional associations strengthen the credibility and academic value of the programmes.
Learning Through Business Practice
Management education becomes meaningful when students apply their knowledge to real situations. IIBS Bengaluru follows an experiential learning model supported by case studies, business simulations, live projects, internships, industry visits, startup collaborations, and corporate interactions.
Students work on practical challenges that require research, collaboration and decision-making. These activities improve their confidence and help them understand how organisations respond to competition, technology and customer expectations.
The IIBS Finishing School adds another layer of career preparation. Training in communication, aptitude, résumé writing, group discussions, interviews, presentation skills and workplace behaviour prepares students for recruitment from the beginning of the programme.
Students also gain exposure to professional certifications and learning modules connected with Harvard Business School, IIM Bangalore, SAP, Bloomberg, Google, HCLTech and ACCA UK. These learning opportunities help them develop skills that remain relevant across multiple industries.
Global Exposure for a Wider Business Perspective
International exposure allows management students to understand business beyond domestic markets. Global immersion, academic interactions, and cross-cultural activities introduce students to international business practices, leadership approaches, and diverse working environments.
Such experiences develop adaptability, cultural awareness and confidence. Students learn to approach business decisions with a wider perspective—an important quality for careers in multinational companies and globally connected industries.
Specialisations Aligned with Emerging Careers
The PGDM programmes offer career-focused learning across finance, marketing, human resources, business analytics, operations, logistics and supply chain management, digital marketing and global finance.
The PGDM NextGen programme further integrates specialised learning with tools and certifications such as SAP FICO, SAP Sales and Distribution, SAP Materials Management, SAP SuccessFactors, ACCA, Bloomberg, HCLTech and Google. This combination of management knowledge and technical capability prepares students for evolving corporate roles.
Placement Preparation with Leading Recruiters
Placement preparation at IIBS Bengaluru continues throughout the programme. Students receive domain-specific guidance, mock interviews, aptitude training, communication development, and opportunities to interact with corporate professionals.
The institute’s recruiter network includes Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC, Accenture, Amazon, IBM, TCS, Cognizant, HCLTech, Capgemini, Infosys, S&P Global, Société Générale, Maersk and BigBasket. Opportunities span consulting, banking, finance, technology, analytics, e-commerce, marketing, operations and logistics.
Eligibility for PGDM Prime
Graduates from any recognised discipline can apply for the PGDM Prime programme. Applicants should have completed a bachelor’s degree with the minimum marks prescribed under the institute’s admission policy.
Students appearing for their final graduation examination may also apply. Their admission remains subject to completing the degree and submitting the required documents within the prescribed timeline. The selection process evaluates academic performance, entrance examination results, and overall suitability for management education.
Eligibility for PGDM NextGen
The PGDM NextGen programme follows a higher academic eligibility standard. Applicants should have secured at least 60% marks in Class 10, Class 12 and graduation. They should also have a minimum 60 percentile in CAT, MAT, XAT or another accepted management entrance examination.
Final-year students may apply provisionally if they expect to complete their bachelor’s degree and meet all academic requirements before the admission deadline. IIBSAT performance forms an important part of the admission and scholarship assessment.
Scholarships for Meritorious Candidates
IIBSAT allows deserving students to earn merit-based scholarships for PGDM Prime and PGDM NextGen. The scholarship assessment considers the IIBSAT score, previous academic performance, entrance examination scores, and overall admission performance.
The scholarship initiative rewards consistency, aptitude and leadership potential. The final scholarship amount and applicable conditions depend on the candidate’s programme, merit category and performance in the selection process.
Important Dates for IIBSAT 2026
Applications for IIBSAT close on 30 November 2026. Registered candidates will receive access to the demo examination on 5 December 2026. The main IIBSAT examination will take place on 6 December 2026 for admission to the 2027–29 PGDM batch.
