MBA and PGDM Entrance Exam Application Deadlines for 2027–28 Admissions
The journey towards an MBA or PGDM begins well before the entrance examination. CAT 2026 for Wider B-School Opportunities
CAT is one of India’s most widely accepted management entrance examinations. Its scores are used by the Indian Institutes of Management and many established MBA and PGDM institutions across the country.
CAT 2026 registration will close at 5:00 PM on 15 September 2026, and the examination will be conducted on 29 November 2026. Candidates should complete the form, upload the required documents, select preferred test cities, and pay the examination fee several days before the deadline.
XAT 2027 for Decision-Making and Management Aptitude
Conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur, XAT evaluates verbal and logical ability, quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, decision-making and general knowledge. Its distinctive decision-making section examines how candidates analyse practical situations and select appropriate solutions.
Registration for XAT 2027 will close on 6 December 2026, while the examination is scheduled for 3 January 2027. The later deadline gives candidates an additional opportunity after CAT. The application process and examination.
Flexible Opportunities Through NMAT, SNAP and MAT
NMAT by GMAC offers candidates flexibility in selecting their examination date and taking up to three attempts within the permitted testing cycle. Registration will close on 10 October 2026, while the examination window will run from 2 November to 20 December 2026.
Test slots are allotted according to availability, so early scheduling can help applicants secure a convenient date, centre and time. Candidates should also remember that NMAT registration and individual business-school applications are separate processes.
SNAP 2026 registration and fee payment will close on 25 November 2026. The three computer-based tests will be conducted on 13, 19 and 26 December 2026. Candidates may appear for up to three sessions, with the higher score considered according to the applicable admission rules. Students targeting Symbiosis institutes must complete the SNAP form and pay the separate programme application fee before the relevant deadlines.
MAT is conducted several times during the year, providing candidates with multiple opportunities to improve their scores. Registration for the September 2026 Computer-Based Test will close on 14 September, and the examination will be held on 20 September 2026.
IIBSAT 2026 for Admission cum Merit Scholarships
IIBSAT is the institutional management entrance examination conducted by the International Institute of Business Studies, IIBS Bangalore. It provides an admission pathway for candidates interested in the institute’s MBA and PGDM programmes, including applicants who have not appeared for another national-level management entrance examination.
The announced registration deadline for IIBSAT 2026 is 30 November 2026, while the first examination phase is planned for the first week of December. IIBSAT assesses communication, analytical ability, logical reasoning, general awareness and overall readiness for management education. Shortlisted applicants proceed through the institutional selection process, which may include an academic profile review, group discussion and personal interview.
Performance in IIBSAT also supports eligibility for a merit-based scholarship. Scholarships are awarded according to academic achievement, entrance examination scores, and performance during the selection process. The institute’s current merit scholarship information lists support of up to 1.95 lakh for male students and 2.20 lakh for female students. Applicants for the 2027–28 session should confirm the updated scholarship amount, eligibility conditions, and documentation requirements before applying.
Recognised MBA and PGDM Education
