UNVA has been established as a major international university, the University of Northern Virginia offers accredited American-style educational programs at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels.
With students from all over the world, UNVA is keenly aware of the needs of our student body. Our courses reflect the needs of employers in this ever more globalized business environment. Our schedules are designed to fit the needs of adult learners, and our professors have both the highest academic credentials and real world knowledge of their subjects.
We have added an additional campus location in Annandale to accommodate our growth. Located inside the Washington, DC beltway, the Annandale campus has proven to be a much more convenient location for many of our students. The new campus allows us to provide additional student services, and increases the feeling of community among our students.
UNVA is an American university with a truly international perspective. Our faculty and student body represent dozens of countries world-wide. This diversity of cultures and business environments provides a true international educational experience and prepares our students to work in an increasingly global economy.
Returning students will also see dramatic changes for the better. We have a new senior management team with a renewed commitment to providing excellent service to our students. UNVA treats students as their customers and its the reason for its establishment.
UNVA adopted a state-of-the-art student record system which allows prospective students to apply on line, register for classes, pay tuition, get grade reports, and handle most administrative interactions online from their student portals. Our business processes have been streamlined to take full advantage of this new technology. UNVA has done a complete course review and have updated courses and prerequisites, eliminating some unnecessary prerequisites from the prior catalogue. We have increased our bandwidth and purchased new systems so that students online experience is faster and more secure. UNVA increased the percentage of instructors with terminal degrees. Despite all of our growth and our modernization, we have continuity in basic programs.
UNVA through the School of Management offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) with several majors to meet a wide variety of students employment & entrepreneurs needs, who would like to enhance their management skills and in consumption of new ideas. It includes several important and contemporary concentrations.
Apart from school of Management UNVA also has School of Education, Liberal Arts & Technology offers several Doctor, Master & Bachelor degrees in respective disciplines. Accreditation
The University of Northern Virginia is certified to operate by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). UNVA is a member of the American Council of Education (ACE) and the American Educational Consortium (AEC). The University of Northern Virginia is authorized by the United States government to enroll non-immigrant alien students. UNVA is accredited by American University Accreditation Council (AUAC), and The European Council for Business Education (ECBE).
UNVA has expanded its affiliation in various places in USA & rest of the world in different countries apart from USA, i.e., Little River Turnpike, Annandale, Balls Ford Road, Manassas, Virginia, Braddock Road, 3rd Floor, Centreville, USA Praha 1, Czech Republic Saigon Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong & Oxford Street, London. It also offers MBA courses from international partners in various countries including India through International Institute of Business Studies at their Bangalore & Noida campuses duly accredited by American University Accreditation Council (AUAC) for conducting MBA course of the UNVA.
