1. What is the timeline for applying?
IIBS has two dates for admissions during March & September every year.
2. How will my application be evaluated?
Each application received is reviewed in depth by the Admissions Board. When selecting students we put an emphasis on leadership potential, strong academic ability, and personal qualities and characteristics. Personal Interview may also may be required in some cases.
3. Does the reputation/history or my undergraduate institution or company affect my chances of being accepted?
Our goal is to admit a class that offers a variety of perspectives. Therefore, we carefully consider individuals from a wide spectrum of academic and work experiences.
4. What is the desired length of work experience you wish to see in candidates?
IIBS does not require a minimum number of years’ work experience prior to entering the MBA program, and it is important for you to assess your own readiness when deciding to apply. Successful candidates have the ability to demonstrate strength in our criteria regardless of the number of years of their work experience. We believe our MBA Program can be impactful for students with as little or no work experience.
5. Who should recommendations come from?
The Admissions Board suggests that of the three recommendations, two come from professional references. Of these two, one recommendation should come from a current or recent supervisor. Recommenders should be individuals who know the candidate well and who can attest to the candidate's leadership ability.
6. When should I expect an invitation for an interview?
Interview invitations are extended on a rolling basis throughout the course of each application round. Invitations to interview may be extended up until the notification date and are a positive indicator no matter when you receive them.
7. What should I expect for my interview?
Your interview will last approximately 15 to 30 minutes and will be conducted by a member of the MBA Admissions Board or one of our Faculty Interviewers. Interviews may take place in-person or over the phone.
8. How can I best prepare?
The purpose of the interview is to better understand you as an MBA candidate for our program. We encourage candidates to relax and be ready to talk about themselves.
9. Will IIBS provide feedback for students who have been rejected?
Due to the large number of applications we receive each year, we cannot accommodate requests for personalized feedback on your application. We receive 4,000 to 6,000 applications for approximately 200 places in the class, and therefore have to deny admission to many exceptional individuals. Also, please understand that the decision of the Admissions Board is final, and we cannot advise you on whether or not you should reapply in the future.
10. Are international students eligible to apply ?
Yes. Domestic and international students alike are welcome to apply.
11. Will the MBA program guarantee me a job after graduation?
Campus interviews conducted by a wide gamut of Corporate Companies will ensure that all our students get placed successfully. Also IIBS will introduce you to a wide network of recruiting partners who have expressed interest in receiving resumes from participants in our MBA & PGPBM Programmes.
12. How many seats are available in the 2+2 program?
We admitted about 250 to 300 students in each batch of MBA.
13. Should I take the GMAT or CAT?
The official test score(s) sent by GMAT or CAT may arrive after the deadline dates, and this score will be used for verification purposes & is not a mandatory requirement.
14. Is there a minimum GMAT or GRE score required to apply?
No. We accept applicants with a wide range of test scores.
15. What are some options for financing my HBS education?
IIBS is committed to making the MBA Program accessible to students with a demonstrated financial need.
16. Academic Environment: Should I expect a more collaborative or competitive environment?
IIBS encourages collaboration amongst students through organized learning groups, such as the section and learning teams. The learning teams consisting of six to seven students who work together on graded projects and as a study group throughout their first year.
17. What are the extracurricular activities available?
Our MBA Programme starts with Management Orientation Moulding (MOM ) which is specifically designed to bring all the students to one basic management platform.Adventure Learning Program(ALP) which is part of MOM facilitates students to stay close to nature and build healthy interpersonal relationships .
We organize Business Quiz and Communication Enhancement Forums and winners are financially rewarded.
18.What percentage of students lives on campus?
Over 90% of HBS students live in IIBS Hostels. These residence halls range from dorm rooms to three-bedroom apartments. Because of the very high demand for residence halls, on-campus housing is assigned through a lottery.
19.What is the workload in the full-time MBA program?
• Classes are generally held from Mondays to Fridays. Students also participate in special events like Factory Visits, Guest Lectures, personal development topics, etc. The MBA program literally is a full-time program, also when you are not in class it keeps you busy every day of the week
20.Who awards the final qualification?
Upon successfully completing final year of MBA degree with IIBS, you get dual certification i.e MBA.from Punjab Technical University and PGPBM is awarded by IIBS
21.Are these qualifications recognized in India and abroad?
Yes, the MBA Degree offered by IIBS is recognized in India and abroad.
22.Is AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) approval mandatory for any programme?
AICTE is a peak body which ensures that the institutions awarding diplomas have the appropriate academic and administrative measures to deliver quality programmes. The proof of quality is the success our students achieve in their studies and the confidence employers show them.
23. How are job placements dealt with at IIBS?
Placement is dependent on the skills of the student. At IIBS, our academicians have industrial experience and hence, subjects are taught with industrial graduates for job experience and hence, subjects are taught with industrial relevance. Non- academic skills are taught by professionals. They are aimed at preparing graduates for job interviews and subsequent employment. IIBS has a professional placement and career cell, the members of which continuously interact with the Industry.
Placements at IIBS are on campus or in company depending on the needs of the employers concerned.
24. What is the minimum duration of MBA course?
Minimum duration of MBA course is 2 years
25. What is the minimum duration of PGPBM course?
Minimum duration of PGPBM is 1 year. It can be done parallelly with the MBA programme.
26. Is hostel facility available for the students?
Yes, separate hostel for male and female students are available. The Hostel provides healthy food and security
27. How many campuses does IIBS have?
IIBS operates in three places: Bangalore, Noida and Kolkata with HQ located at Bangalore

50% Scholarships are awarded to meritorious students who has scored 75% throughout Academics.Apart from this special scholarships are awarded to meritorious students.

Yes. The institute offers BBM. The degree is awarded by Bangalore University.
