Students Activities

All student activities at IIBS are conceptualized and coordinated exclusively by the students club. Through their exceptional capabilities and leadership skills they take up responsibilities and execute them.

Discipline and Code of Conduct at the Institute

IIBS is an activity oriented, self learning institution; where intellectual inputs are more than any conventional MBA programme. Participation in co-curricular activities is compulsory. No exemption is allowed on any ground, as all processes are integral part of the programme. Students have absolute freedom to express their talents, ask for help to overcome weaknesses, assert, debate and express their views for improvement of the system and learning opportunities.

IIBS is a learning organization that thrives on innovation, scholarship and workmanship. Therefore, rapid change for the good is an ongoing process at IIBS. We prepare students to face challenges of fast changing environment. Periodic open house sessions are held with the Director and the staff for direct interaction with the students.

The school attaches great importance to integrity, honesty and discipline. A sense of responsibility and a high degree of maturity is expected from all students inside or outside the campus and if any student indulges in behavior against the norms of discipline (including attendance, punctuality, in attentive listening, indecent behavior etc.), the faculty concerned will counsel the student suitably. The faculty will also be free to adopt suitable measure to regulate attendance, maintain discipline and ensure smooth and undisturbed learning in the class.

  • All the students are required to be in the institutes prescribed dress code as and when required by the Institute.
  • Attendance is compulsory for all workshops, corporate seminars, guest lectures and any other activities, which are conducted by the Institute.
  • Any student who is not abiding by the rules and regulation of the Institute will be penalized suitably by the management. Any student penalized more than twice in whatever form, may be asked to withdraw from IIBS.
  • Students have to maintain attendance of minimum of 75% in each of first & second semester to become eligible for International Tour, which is proposed to be conducted in the third semester beginning.
  • Students have to maintain attendance of minimum of 75% in third semester to become eligible to participate in the Placement Process, which is scheduled to be conducted in the fourth semester.
  • Students have to maintain minimum 40% marks in Internal Assessments as well as External Theory Examination in each subject as per the University regulations, to pass the subject; else Detailed Marks Card (DMC) for the semester will not be issued to the student.
  • Students have to participate in all internal assessments (including presentations / assignments submission / tasks assigned) of all subjects conducted by the institute both during semesters & vacation holidays and score more than 40% in each subject in both internal assessments & external theory examination of MBA & D grade in PGPBM.
  • Students have to keep the passport ready well in advance & provide the same to the Institute for VISA purpose well within the date announced later for the International Tour after becoming eligible.
  • Students have to pay the tuition fee & other fees well in advance before the due date, otherwise they will not be eligible to participate in International tour as well as Placement process of the Institute and also they have to pay the fine as stipulated by the Institute.
  • I will not participate or indulge into any ragging of the junior students. If the Institute receives any complaints from the juniors against me about ragging, then the Institute will initiate police action against me and I will be expelled from the Institute.
  • Students who decide to opt for the Institution hostel will have to abide by the rules and regulations mentioned in the hostel application form. If any student is found to be violating the rules and regulations of the hostel then that student will be expelled from the hostel and no money will be refunded to that student.

Note: please also not that a student in liable for punishment against ragging / any activity contrary to rules of discipline as per the Supreme Court act on prohibiting ragging in an educational institute.



Mentoring and Career Counseling

Every student of IIBS will be assigned a guide, guardian cum tutor who will assist and guide the student in career planning, process monitoring and problem solving related to the programme. The school attaches great importance to the need for the process of mentoring and suitable guidelines will be published separately.

Reservation of Rights

The management of the international institute of business studies resource the right to change policies, systems and procedures, requirements for admissions or graduation programme course structure, faculty mix, regulation affecting students or any other suitable modifications, which are considered necessary in the interest of the profession and the institute.
